About Dianna Baird

Dianna Baird is a longtime public servant, community advocate, and conservative leader running for Carroll County Judge. Born and raised in California, she chose to retire and relocate to Carroll County to be closer to her grandchildren, bringing decades of public service experience and a fresh perspective to a community she now proudly calls home.
With over 28 years in county government, Dianna has served in a variety of support roles, including Candidate Services Analyst in Elections, Investigations Secretary in the Sheriff’s Office, Legal Secretary with the District Attorney, and Administrative Secretary in Facility Services and Health & Human Services. She spent the final nine years of her career in General Services, retiring in 2021 as a Senior Contract and Purchasing Services Officer, bringing deep expertise in government operations, contracts, and fiscal responsibility. A life-long process improver, Dianna has always sought ways to make government more efficient, transparent, and accountable.
Dianna has also helped local businesses navigate government opportunities, participating in programs with the SBA, California Capital PTAC, and SacPAC, and conducting workshops connecting small businesses with contracting opportunities.
She is deeply involved in the Carroll County community, serving on the Grassy Knob Fire Department Board of Directors and organizing events and fundraisers for first responders. She also participates in local events, including:

When she’s not serving the community, Dianna enjoys hobbies that keep her connected to people, nature, and creativity, including:
- Boating with her family
- Swimming and hiking
- Full moon pontoon
- Recreational shooting and target practice
- Recreational billiards
- Primitive rug hooking and arts & crafts
- Directing Renaissance Faire events
Dianna believes government should be professional, transparent, and accountable. As County Judge, she will bring the same commitment to continuous improvement, thoughtful leadership, and decisions that earn trust, working every day to ensure Carroll County is a place where citizens are heard, valued, and served well.
